The challenge was to capture the spirit of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, birthplace of cava, as a short film and narrative exercise. Exploring its history, we uncovered the Festa de la Fil·loxera, a curious celebration of the plague that once destroyed its vineyards. From this paradox, we coined Filoxerismo: a mindset that turns chaos, mistakes, and tragedy into fuel for rebirth, which guided our concept and story structure.
Drawing inspiration from mystery documentaries, cults, and conspiracy theories, we gradually embraced the mockumentary genre. Through real interviews, stylized visuals, and a sharp yet emotional edit, the result became an ode to resilience told through the absurd.
